Here's a website link for Toys for Tots. I would encourage you to make a toy request as early as possible and see if they are able to help you provide gifts for your children this year. Also, check with the Department of Children and Family Services in your area and ask them if they could sponsor your children. The company that I work for makes a donation each year to the one in our county. This donation enables a needy family to provide gifts and clothing for their children each Christmas. One last suggestion...Please update your profile with the City and State where you live so that others may help you by checking resources available to you in the area in which you live. Good luck.

well , looks like there will be no money for christmas this year.  my husband had a massive heart attack and is in stage 3 heart failure.  the good thing is that his condition has stabilized somewhat, however with the missed income we will be unable to provide christmas for our children,  this is the hardest thing for my husband to deal with because he is a good dad and loves his children very much and has always worked hard to take care of all of us.

if there is anyone out there who could help at all (i have 2 children in college and the younger 2 are in high-school) it would be appreciated more than you will ever know.  all my youngest has asked for is clothes( his dad was in the cardiac icu in august so he did not get anything new to start school in) even if you have some used items (movies, etc)  My middle son loves to hunt (he shot 2 deer this season thankfully, this will ensure that we have meat for part of the winter at least)  My daughter is in college and is in desperate need of jeans, and shirts.  My oldest son is in his first year of college and needs snow boots, and jeans and pajama pants.

all 3 boys could use coveralls and gloves.  I do not need anything, but my husband could use some pajama pants and some books to read since this helps him pass the time and take his mind off of things.  Thank-you and god bless

It is very dangerous for you to post any personal information such as phone numbers, addresses and last names. You are inviting more trouble into your life by doing so . There are people who will use your information to prey on you , take advantage of you and try to take what money or things that you do have , including your credit and Heaven forbid , your children .

This is serious . For your own protection , do not post personal information  in public on Aidpages. You can convey this information in a private message , but you are still doing so at your own risk .

Hello Like alot of people this year I am finding it very difficult to make ends meet just cant seem to catch up on all the bills. I am a single mother of two very handsome boys who are 8 and 5. They are my life and what I live for. This year I might just have to tell them that there is no Santa because I dont want them to be dissapointed when they dont get anything on christmas. I feel so awful that I cannot afford to get anything for them for christmas. Its either pay rent and utilities or get presents and go without electricity or even a home. If someone can just even help out a little it doesnt have to be anything expensive just so that my boys can have something under the tree to open this year. Please I am desperate. If you can help please contact me at bbaldo77@aol.com thank you so much and god bless.

More About Us!

Our children range in age from 17-34, 4girls and 2 boys. The youngest is still at home a is a fine young man. He went out yesterday for hours trying to find a job to help Mom and Dad. The others, with the exception of the boys Mom, are all great kids who work hard and have never asked for anything. They have been trying to help too, but like 90% of us, they have just what they need and a tad of what they want. They've helped with groceries and diapers, one has let us use her car while she's at work, but they have reached their limits with financial aid.My husband has been trying to build his company for 8 years, but is now prepared to give that up and is applying for sales jobs , has his resume on Monster.com. He has always been willing to do whatever it takes for us, but it's hard to watch his dream die.The last 3 months have been especially hard. In early November our 6 year-old granddauhter, Autumn, who'd been feeling poorly for a few weeks, was admitted to the PICU with GBS. She became totally paralyzed and quit breathing on her own. With the prayers of many, she's now recovering with us, but it takes 1-3 years. She still has palsy in her little hands and is hyper-sensetive to pain, tires easily. But she's a walking miracle. On December 3rd, my sweet sister-in-law went to the hospital for a simple procedure and died. Then, to top it all off, there was no money for Christmas. Our son asked for 1 gift, an xbox, and there was no way. My husbands partner, I pray the resentment prayer for him every day, because I can't understand how he can do this to my hubby. He has gotten rich off my husband's sweat and hard work, is paying evryone else(laborers, suppliers)but when it come to my husband, the money's not there.

Still, there are many, many Blessings. I'm 16 years in recoveryfrom 13 years of bulemia. in a wonderful 12 step group. We are surrounded by family and friends who truly love us, we have an amazing church, and we have eachother. My son never complained about his Christmas, and I spent the day focusing on Christ's Love foir us, and on what we DID have, compared to others.

I beleive finding this site is another Blessing. Have a great day everyone!

Help me give my children a christmas, down on my luck this year

Hi, I am a single mother of 2 girls, just divorced in March of this year. Recently, my job at Wal-Mart ended after 15 long years.  My unemplyment was denied, I am appealing, I don't get any child support on my oldest but have filed for it.  My rent and household bills are about $950.00.  All I have coming in is $266.00 in child support for the second child. I have got an appointment for food stamps on Mon. and just went to 2 interviews on this past Mon.  I am scared to death that I will not be able to do Santa Claus for my girls, cause' every bit of money I have or will have is got to go to rent, electricity and water.  I need help and have never had to ask before, I'm ashamed to ask outsiders to do for me and my girls but seems I have no choice and time is running out, please e-mail me if you can help in any way, thanks!!

Seeking Help 4 My 2 Girls This Christmas

Now that I have Logged In, I feel so silly for doing so.  I look at my life and then read about these other people and think, "How dare I think that my life is that bad."  I originally got on this site to possibly get help for my two daughters, Tori age 5 and Michaela age 2.  I want be able to get them anything for Christmas.  That includes Santa Claus.  I am the only one working in my family.  My husband has not been working.  He just went back to work as a substitute teacher, but we are behind on our daycare by over $900.00, our car payment is behind one payment, and our light bill is behind a couple of months.  I have taken up work at night as well as my day job, but this just helps to catch us up.  I do have family that will give the girls things for Christmas.  My biggest fear is that my oldest will not get the one thing that she has asked Santa for numerous times.  How do you explain that to a five year old and have her still believe in him?  I don't think that you can.  It just makes me want to cry and is tearing my family apart.  I am beginning to not be able to stand to be around my husband.  I don't want to feel that way, but I guess it's just nature.  I try to remain strong.  I married him w/the vow of For Rich or Poor.  I am just at my wits end.  I feel like I am the one that works so hard and everything is on my back.  If you have ever been through something like this, you know what I mean.  If you have not been through this, then you are truely blessed.  Thank you for taking the time to read my post.  May God bless you and keep you safe this holiday season. (mrsangielanders@yahoo.com)
